Abstract

A. Export Development

The export value of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in November 2018 was worth US $ 99 million, down 40.62 percent compared to the export value in November 2017.
The export value of tin fell 66.56 percent, while non-tin rose 96.44 percent (y-on-y).
Compared to the previous month (m-to-m), the value of exports fell by 26.68 percent. Tin exports fell 48.25 percent, while non-exports rose by 17.28 percent.
Singapore absorbed 26.81 percent (US $ 342.2 million) of tin exports, while Australia absorbed 23.10 percent (US $ 89.5 million) of non-rice exports during January-November 2018.
The export value of mineral fuels (HS 27) in January-November 2018 amounted to US $ 199.1 million or 51.39 percent of the total non-export exports of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province.

B. Import Development

The import value of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in November 2018 was US $ 6.1 million, down 25.16 percent compared to November 2017. Therefore, imports from January to November 2018 were US $ 134.6 million.
As many as 91.99 percent of imports from January to November 2018 are in the form of oil and gas.
Non-oil and gas imports from January to November 2018 were dominated by machinery / mechanical aircraft (HS 84) at 68.07 percent (US $ 7.2 million).
In the first nine months of 2018, Malaysia became the main exporter to the Bangka Belitung Islands Province with a value of US $ 107.9 million (80.18 percent).
