Abstract

In December 2018 the city of Tanjungpandan experienced inflation of 0.84 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 143.35
Inflation occurs because of the price increase indicated by the increase in all expenditure group indices, namely the foodstuffs group by 0.54 percent; processed foods, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco group of 0.20 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel by 0.03 percent; clothing group by 0.89 percent; health group by 0.09 percent; recreation and sports education group by 0.19 percent and the transportation, communication and financial services group at 5.05 percent.
The inflation rate for the December 2018 calendar year is 2.72 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (December 2018 to December 2017) is 2.72 percent.
The core component in December 2018 experienced inflation of 0.02 percent; volatile components experienced inflation of 1.18 percent; and the government regulated component experienced inflation of 3.25 percent.
Combined Two Cities in the Province of Bangka Belitung Islands, namely the cities of Pangkalpinang and Tanjungpandan in December 2018 experienced inflation of 1.51 percent with CPI 142.26.
