Abstract

A. EXPORT DEVELOPMENT
  • The export value of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in March 2020 was valued at US $ 83.8 million, down 32.51 percent compared to the export value in March 2019.
  • The value of tin exports fell 40.09 percent, while non-profit rose 1.20 percent (y-on-y).
  • Compared to the previous month (m-to-m), the value of exports fell 38.09 percent. Tin exports dropped 44.28 percent and non-export exports dropped 12.51 percent.
  • During January-March 2020, Singapore absorbed 24.55 percent (US $ 68.1 million) of tin exports, while Myanmar absorbed 27.35 percent (US $ 15.6 million) of non-lead exports.
  • The export value of animal / vegetable fats and oils (HS 15) in January-March 2020 dominated US $ 45.7 million or 80.23 percent of the total non-regional exports of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province.
B. DEVELOPMENT OF IMPORT
  • The import value of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in March 2020 was US $ 0.30 million, down 84.12 percent compared to March 2019. Thus, imports from January to March 2020 became US $ 3.09 million.
  • A total of 73.05 percent of imports in January-March 2020 were non-oil and gas.
  • Non-oil and gas imports from January to March 2020 were dominated by mineral fuels (HS 27) in the form of anthracite at 50.62 percent (US $ 1.14 million).
  • In January-March 2020, Vietnam became the main exporter to the Bangka Belitung Islands Province with a value of US $ 1.14 million (36.98 percent).
