A. EXPORT DEVELOPMENT
  • The export value of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in May 2020 was valued at US $ 73.2 million, down 52.49 percent compared to the export value in May 2019.
  • The value of tin exports fell 54.67 percent, and non-profit fell 42.51 percent (y-on-y).
  • Compared to the previous month (m-to-m), the value of exports rose 2.23 percent. Tin exports rose 8.97 percent and non-lead exports dropped 16.41 percent.
  • During January-May 2020, Singapore absorbed 22.44 percent (US $ 86.9 million) of tin exports, while Malaysia absorbed 21.09 percent (US $ 19.4 million) of non-lead exports.
  • The export value of animal / vegetable fats and oils (HS 15) in January-May 2020 dominated US $ 71.5 million or 77.76 percent of the total non-regional exports of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province.
B. DEVELOPMENT OF IMPORT
  • The import value of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in May 2020 was US $ 2.13 million, up 737.15 percent compared to May 2019. Thus, imports from January to May 2020 became US $ 6.23 million.
  • As many as 74 percent of imports in January-May 2020 were non-oil and gas.
  • Non-oil and gas imports from January to May 2020 were dominated by machineries / aircraft mechanics (HS 84) of 41.60 percent (US $ 1.92 million).
  • In January-May 2020, China became the main exporter to the Bangka Belitung Islands Province with a value of US $ 1.92 million (30.80 percent).
