In July 2020 there was inflation of 0.12 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 103.03.
This inflation occurred because of an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely the food, beverage and tobacco group by 0.29 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.01 percent; and the recreation, sports and culture group by 0.43 percent. Whereas housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels; household equipment, equipment and routine maintenance groups; health group; transportation group; information, communication and financial services groups; education group; food and beverage / restaurant supply groups; and the personal care group and other services did not experience price changes.Commodities that experienced an increase in prices in July 2020 in Manggar City include anchovies, round fish, kerisi fish, yellow tail fish, tuna, mackerel, spinach, broiler eggs, long beans, red chili, cucumbers, elementary school textbooks , eggplant, beef, milk powder for toddlers, milk powder, cassava flour (tapioca), milk powder for babies, and women's shoes.Commodities that experienced price declines in July 2020 in Manggar City included squid, shallots, wet shrimp, purebred chicken, kale, garlic, sugar, mackerel, mustard greens, crab / crab, chilli peppers, chicken live, tomatoes, carrots, and cabbage / white cabbage.The inflation rate for the calendar year July 2020 is 1.70 percent
