Abstract

In December 2020, Manggar experienced inflation of 1.90 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 104.45.

Inflation occurred due to price increases as indicated by an increase in some of the index for the expenditure group, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 4.58 percent; and the food and beverage / restaurant supply group by 2.20 percent. While other expenditure groups are: clothing and footwear group; housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels group; group of household equipment, tools and routine maintenance; health group; transportation group; information, communication and financial services group; recreational, sports, and cultural groups; education group; and other personal care and service groups have not changed.

Commodities that experienced an increase in prices in December 2020 at Manggar include chicken, squid, red chilies, cayenne pepper, rice with side dishes, round fish, eggs, wet shrimp, yellow tail fish, tuna, kale, spinach, tomato, cucumber, eggplant, long beans, mackerel, potato, garlic, powdered milk, live chicken, salted fish, and crab / crab.

Commodities that experienced a decline in prices in December 2020 in Manggar include keris fish, shallots, fish, cooking oil, green mustard greens, chicory, carrots, sugar, and cabbage / cabbage.

The inflation rate for the calendar year December 2020 was 3.11 percent.
