Abstract

In April 2022, Pangkalpinang City experienced inflation of 1.82 percent with a CPI of 111.06. All 90 CPI cities in Indonesia experienced inflation. The highest inflation occurred in Tanjungpandan at 2.58 percent with a CPI of 113.46 and the lowest was in Gunungsitoli at 0.22 percent with a CPI of 110.58.
  • Inflation was caused by an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the index in 9 expenditure groups, namely: food, beverages and tobacco by 1.36 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.45 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuel groups by 0.74 percent; equipment, equipment and routine maintenance group by 0.46 percent; health group by 0.06 percent; transportation group by 6.74 percent; recreation, sports and culture groups by 0.07 percent; food and beverage/restaurant supply group by 2.30 percent; and the personal care and other services group by 1.56 percent. Meanwhile, the information, communication, and financial services groups as well as the education group did not experience changes in the index.
  • The inflation rate for the calendar year April 2022 is 3.64 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (April 2022 to April 2021) is 6.29 percent.
  • The energy group in April 2022 experienced inflation of 0.39 percent with a CPI of 104.99. Meanwhile, the food ingredients component also experienced inflation of 1.62 percent with a CPI of 118.64.
