Abstract

The percentage of poor people in March 2022 was 4.45 percent, decreased by 0.22 percentage points against September 2021 and decreased 0.45 percentage points against March 2021.
  • The number of poor people in March 2022 was 66.78 thousand people, a decrease of 2.92 thousand people from September 2021 and a decrease of 5.93 thousand people from March 2021.
  • The percentage of the urban poor in September 2021 was 3.22 percent, down to 3.09 percent in March 2022. Meanwhile, the percentage of the rural poor in September 2021 was 6.57 percent, down to 6.26 percent in March 2022.
  • Compared to September 2021, the number of urban poor in March 2022 decreased by 0.8 thousand people (from 27.28 thousand people in September 2021 to 26.48 thousand people in March 2022). Meanwhile, in the same period the number of rural poor people fell by 2.13,000 people (from 42.43 thousand people in September 2021 to 40.30 thousand people in March 2022).
  • The Poverty Line in March 2022 was recorded at IDR 801,437/capita/month with the composition of the Food Poverty Line of IDR 579,537,-/capita/month and the Non-Food Poverty Line of IDR 221,901/capita/month.
  • In March 2022, the average poor household in Indonesia had 4.55 household members. Thus, the size of the Poverty Line per poor household on average is Rp.3,646,538,-/poor household/month.
