Abstract

Farmer's Exchange Rate (NTP) is the ratio of the price index received by farmers (It) to the index of price paid by farmers (Ib).

NTP is one indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the terms of trade (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs.

The NTP of the Province of the Bangka Belitung Islands in August 2022 was 120.22, an increase of 8.09 percent compared to the NTP of the previous month. The increase in FTT was due to the Price Index Received by Farmers (It) rose by 7.13 percent while the Price Index Paid by Farmers (Ib) decreased by 0.89 percent.

Food Crops Subsector NTP (NTP-P) of 95.02; Horticulture subsector (NTP-H) of 119.95; People's Plantation Sub-sector (NTP-R) of 122.57; Livestock sub-sector (NTP-T) of 108.28; Fishery Subsector (NTP-P) is 111.24 with Capture Fisheries Group (NTN) is 111.93 and Cultivated Fisheries Group (NTPi) is 91.36.

In August 2022, there was a 1.35 percent decrease in the Household Consumption Index (IKRT), which was caused by a 2.47 percent decline in the index in the food, beverage and tobacco expenditure group. Meanwhile, 9 (nine) expenditure groups experienced an increase in index and 1 other expenditure group did not experience a change in index.

The Agricultural Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in August 2022 was 115.31, up 6.68 percent compared to the previous month's NTUP.
