Abstract

In September 2023, Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation in Pangkalpinang will be 2.70 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 115.72. The lowest y-on-y inflation in Indonesia occurred in Gorontalo and Manado at 1.16 percent with CPI of 113.23 and 113.96 respectively. Meanwhile, the highest y-on-y inflation in Indonesia occurred in Manokwari City at 5.26 percent with a CPI of 119.96.
Year on Year (y-on-y) Pangkalpinang inflation occurred due to price increases as indicated by the increase in the CPI in almost all expenditure groups, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 5.19 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.14 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.27 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 0.17 percent; health group 13.56 percent; transportation group by 2.84 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 1.66 percent; education group at 1.23 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 0.72 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 0.93 percent. On the other hand, the group that experienced deflation or a decline in the CPI was the information, communication and financial services group that experienced deflation of 0.17 percent.
The Month to Month (m-to-m) inflation rate for September 2023 in Pangkalpinang is 0.61 percent and the Year to Date (y-to-d) inflation rate for September 2023 is 1.81 percent.
The y-on-y inflation rate for the Energy component was 0.49 percent with an inflation share of 0.0540 percent; and the y-on-y inflation rate for the Foodstuffs component was 3.28 percent with an inflation share of 0.8072 percent.
