Abstract

A. Development of Tourism

The number of guests staying at star-rated hotels in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in November 2018 was 38,098 people. This number increased by 7.20 percent compared to the number of guests in the previous month which was 35,540 people. The number of foreign and domestic guests rose by 34.16 percent and 6.76 percent respectively.
The hotel occupancy rate (TPK) of star classification in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in November 2018 reached an average of 44.43 percent, up 4.84 points compared to the October 2018 TPK which was recorded at 39.59 percent.
The highest ROR for star-rated hotels by regency / city in November 2018 was in Central Bangka Regency at 59.56 percent, followed by Districts in Belitung Island (48.27 percent), Pangkalpinang City (41.21 percent), and Bangka Regency (19, 13 percent).
In November 2018, the average total length of stay of guests in the star classification hotel was 1.94 days, a 0.09 day increase compared to the previous month. During November 2018, the average length of stay of foreign guests (2.84 days) was 0.92 days longer than Indonesian guests (1.92 days).

B. Development of Transportation

The number of inter-island sea transport passengers departing from the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in November 2018 was recorded at 8.55 thousand people, down by 15.66 percent compared to October 2018 which reached 10.14 thousand people. When compared with the same period in the previous year (January-November 2017), the number of departing passengers increased by 17.74 percent.
The number of inter-island sea transport passengers arriving in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in November 2018 was 8.95 thousand people. This amount dropped by 11.04 percent compared to the previous month. When compared to the same period last year (January-November 2017), the flow of passengers that came increased by 26.17 percent. The volume of goods loaded at the port in November 2018 was 727.38 thousand tons, up by 6.96 percent compared to October 2018 which amounted to 680.06 thousand tons.
The volume of goods unloaded during November 2018 was 265.48 thousand tons, down by 13.53 percent compared to the previous month which reached 307.04 thousand tons.
The number of air transport passengers departing from the Bangka Belitung Islands in November 2018 was recorded at 118.52 thousand people, down by 5.48 percent compared to the previous month.
The number of passengers coming to the Bangka Belitung Islands by air transport in November 2018 was 122.70 thousand people, down by 4.23 percent compared to the previous month.
