Abstract

The number of guests staying at star-rated hotels in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in March 2019 recorded 36,000 people. This number increased by 31.03 percent compared to the number of guests in the previous month which were 27,474 people. The number of foreign and domestic guests rose by 3.81 percent and 31.84 percent respectively.

The hotel occupancy rate (TPK) of star classification in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in March 2019 reached an average of 35.28 percent, up 5.17 points compared to February 2019 TPK which was recorded at 30.10 percent.

The highest ROR for star-rated hotels according to districts / cities in March 2019 was in Central Bangka Regency at 40.73 percent, followed by Districts in Belitung Island (38.36 percent), Pangkalpinang City (36.07 percent), and Bangka Regency (14, 43 percent).

As of March 2019, the average total length of stay of guests in a star classification hotel was 1.85 days, a decrease of 0.08 days compared to the previous month. During March 2019, the average length of stay of foreign guests (2.74 days) was 0.91 days longer than Indonesian guests (1.83 days).
