Abstract

A. TOURISM DEVELOPMENT

The number of guests staying at star-rated hotels in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in October 2019 was 44,603. This number increased by 23.56 percent compared to the number of guests in the previous month of 36,098 people. The number of foreign guests has more than doubled and the number of domestic guests has increased 21.95 percent.
Room Classification Rates (TPK) for star-class hotels in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in October 2019 reached an average of 42.89 percent, up 10.13 points compared to the September 2019 TPK of 32.76 percent.
The highest ROR for star-rated hotels by district / city in October 2019 was in Central Bangka Regency at 53.33 percent, followed by Kota Pangkalpinang (43.73 percent), Regency in Belitung Island (43.21 percent), and Bangka Regency (26, 17 percent).
In October 2019, the average overall length of stay of guests at a star classification hotel was 1.84 days, an increase of 0.14 days compared to the previous month. During October 2019, the average length of stay of foreign guests (2.96 days) was 1.14 days longer than Indonesian guests (1.82 days).

B. TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT

The number of inter-island sea transportation passengers departing from the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in October 2019 was recorded at 13.97 thousand people, down 8.29 percent compared to September 2019 which reached 15.23 thousand people. When compared with the same period in the previous year (January-October 2018), the number of departing passengers rose by 39.15 percent.
The number of inter-island sea transport passengers arriving in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in October 2019 was recorded at 12.04 thousand people. The number decreased by 22.58 percent compared to the previous month. When compared to the same period last year (January-October 2018), the flow of incoming passengers has increased by 23.44 percent.
The volume of goods loaded at the port in October 2019 was 786.10 thousand tons, an increase of 22.39 percent when compared to September 2019 which reached 642.26 thousand tons.
The volume of goods unloaded during October 2019 was 246.16 thousand tons, an increase of 10.53 percent compared to the previous month which reached 222.72 thousand tons.
The number of air transport passengers departing from the Bangka Belitung Islands in October 2019 was recorded at 105.14 thousand people, an increase of 16.47 percent compared to the previous month.
The number of passengers coming to the Bangka Belitung Islands using air transportation in October 2019 was 108.48 thousand people, an increase of 15.45 percent compared with the previous month.
