Abstract

Abstraction
  • In June 2019, Tanjungpandan City experienced deflation of 0.41 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 145.67.
  • Deflation occurred due to a decrease in prices as indicated by the decrease in the two expenditure group indices, namely the foodstuffs group by 1.03 percent and the transportation, communication and financial services group by 1.43 percent. While the other four expenditure groups experienced inflation, namely the processed food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco group by 0.10 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel by 0.04 percent; clothing group by 0.08 percent and health group by 0.22 percent. Recreational and sports education groups are relatively stable, not experiencing inflation or deflation.
  • The inflation rate for the June 2019 calendar year is 1.62 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (June 2019 to June 2018) is 2.91 percent.
  • The core component in June 2019 experienced inflation of 0.21 percent; volatile components experienced deflation of 1.56 percent; and the government regulated component experienced deflation of 1.02 percent.
  • The Combined Two Cities in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province, namely the cities of Pangkalpinang and Tanjungpandan in June 2019 experienced inflation of 0.50 percent with CPI of 146.03.
