Abstract

A. TOURISM DEVELOPMENT

The number of guests staying at star-rated hotels in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in January 2020 was 30,712. This number decreased by 32.81 percent compared to the previous month's number of 45,711 people. The number of foreign guests fell 31.58 percent, and the number of domestic guests fell 32.85 percent.
Room Classification Rates (TPK) for star classification hotels in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in January 2020 reached an average of 27.35 percent, down 11.73 points compared to the TPK of December 2020 which was recorded at 39.08 percent.
The highest ROR for star-rated hotels by district / city in January 2020 was in Belitung Island at 29.25 percent, followed by Kota Pangkalpinang (28.33 percent), Central Bangka Regency (27.12 percent), and Bangka Regency (14.22 percent ).
In January 2020, the average total length of stay of guests at star classification hotels was 1.78 days, an increase of 0.12 days compared to the previous month. During January 2020, the average length of stay of foreign guests (2.98 days) was 1.23 days longer than Indonesian guests (1.75 days).

B. TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT

The number of inter-island sea transport passengers departing from the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in January 2020 was recorded at 9.85 thousand people, down by 40.76 percent compared to December 2019. When compared to January 2019, the number of departing passengers dropped by 10.63 percent.
The number of inter-island sea transport passengers arriving in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in January 2020 was recorded at 8 thousand. The number decreased by 44.94 percent compared to the previous month. When compared to January 2019, the flow of incoming passengers has decreased by 33.94 percent.
The volume of goods loaded at the port in January 2020 was 621.43 thousand tons, down by 23.22 percent when compared to December 2019 which reached 809.39 thousand tons.
The volume of goods unloaded during January 2020 was 219.12 thousand tons, a decrease of 11.41 percent compared to the previous month which reached 247.35 thousand tons.
The number of air transport passengers departing from the Bangka Belitung Islands in January 2020 was 100.08 thousand, a decrease of 8.91 percent compared to the previous month.
The number of passengers coming to the Bangka Belitung Islands using air transportation in January 2020 was 111.18 thousand people, a decrease of 1.78 percent compared to the previous month.
