Abstract

A. TOURISM DEVELOPMENT

The number of guests staying at star-rated hotels in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in May 2020 was 2,720 people. This number decreased by 8.34 percent compared to the previous month's number of 2,968 people. The number of foreign guests dropped 85.71 percent and the number of domestic guests dropped 8.16 percent.
Room Classification Rates (TPK) for star classification hotels in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in May 2020 reached an average of 15.89 percent, down 0.74 points compared to the April 2020 TPK which was recorded at 16.63 percent.
The highest ROR for star-rated hotels by regency / city in May 2020 was in Pangkalpinang City at 26.41 percent, followed by Belitung Island (7.94 percent), Bangka Regency (3.70 percent), and Central Bangka Regency (1.83 percent ).
In May 2020, the average total length of stay of guests at a star classification hotel was 1.80 days, a decrease of 0.18 days compared to the previous month. During May 2020, the average length of stay of foreign guests (8 days) was 6.21 days longer than Indonesian guests (1.79 days).

B. TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT

The number of inter-island sea transport passengers departing from the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in May 2020 was 1.37 thousand people, down 12.40 percent compared to April 2020. When compared to the same period in the previous year (January-May 2019), the number departing passengers dropped by 49.93 percent.
The number of inter-island sea transport passengers arriving in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in May 2020 was recorded at 0.41 thousand people. The number decreased by 36.25 percent compared to the previous month. When compared to the same period last year (January-May 2019), the flow of incoming passengers has decreased by 50.82 percent.
The volume of goods loaded at the port in May 2020 was 368.03 thousand tons, down by 25.18 percent when compared to April 2020 which reached 491.88 thousand tons.
The volume of goods unloaded during May 2020 was 166.90 thousand tons, a decrease of 26.22 percent compared to the previous month which reached 226.21 thousand tons.
The number of air transport passengers departing from the Bangka Belitung Islands in May 2020 was recorded at 0.85 thousand people, a decrease of 86.81 percent compared with the previous month.
The number of passengers coming to the Bangka Belitung Islands using air transportation in May 2020 was 0.42 thousand people, a decrease of 92.52 percent compared with the previous month
