Abstract

In February 2022, Pangkalpinang City experienced a deflation of 0.53 percent with a CPI of 107.89. Of the 90 CPI cities, 53 cities experienced deflation and 37 cities experienced inflation. The highest inflation occurred in Kupang at 0.65 percent with a CPI of 107.17 and the lowest occurred in Tanjung Selor at 0.01 percent with a CPI of 106.29. Meanwhile, the highest deflation occurred in Tanjung Pandan at 2.08 percent with a CPI of 109.20 and the lowest was in Palembang, Palangkaraya, and Tarakan at 0.01 percent with a CPI of 107.54, 108.50 and 108.41, respectively. .
Deflation occurred due to a decrease in prices as indicated by a decrease in the index in 2 expenditure groups, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 2.22 percent and the health group by 0.13 percent. Meanwhile, expenditure groups that experienced inflation were: clothing and footwear by 0.09 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuel groups by 0.27 percent; equipment, equipment and routine maintenance group by 0.48 percent; transportation group by 0.05 percent; information, communication, and financial services group by 0.19 percent; recreation, sports and culture groups by 0.78 percent; food and beverage/restaurant supply group by 0.21 percent; and the personal care and other services group by 1.69 percent. The education group did not experience a change in the index.
The inflation rate for the calendar year February 2022 is 0.68 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (February 2022 to February 2021) is 3.44 percent.
The energy group in February 2022 experienced a deflation of 0.06 percent with a CPI of 103.65. Meanwhile, the food ingredients component also experienced deflation of 3.38 percent with a CPI of 114.00.
