Abstract

In June 2022, Pangkalpinang City experienced a deflation of 0.22 percent with a CPI of 111.75. Of the 90 CPI cities in Indonesia, 85 cities experienced inflation and 5 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Gunungsitoli at 2.72 percent with a CPI of 113.64 and the lowest was in Pontianak at 0.07 percent with a CPI of 111.11. The highest deflation occurred in Kendari at 0.61 percent with a CPI of 111.45 and the lowest was in Tanjungpandan at 0.03 with a CPI of 115.97.

Deflation was caused by a decrease in indexes in 3 expenditure groups, namely: food, beverages and tobacco by 0.98 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.04 percent; and the transportation group by 0.29 percent. On the other hand, there are 5 expenditure groups experiencing inflation, namely: housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels by 0.34 percent; equipment, equipment and routine maintenance group by 0.30 percent; health group by 0.09 percent; information, communication, and financial services group by 0.21 percent; and the personal care and other services group by 1.22 percent. Meanwhile, recreational, sports and cultural groups; education group; and the food and beverage/restaurant supply group did not experience a change in the index.

The inflation rate for the calendar year June 2022 is 4.28 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (June 2022 to June 2021) is 6.46 percent.

The energy group in June 2022 experienced inflation of 0.46 percent with a CPI of 105.73. Meanwhile, the food ingredients component experienced deflation of 1.37 percent with a CPI of 121.46.
