Abstract

In March 2022 Tanjungpandan City experienced inflation of 1.29 percent with a CPI of 110.61
Inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by a 2.00 percent increase in the index of the expenditure group, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group; clothing and footwear group by 0.12 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel groups by 0.54 percent; household equipment, equipment and routine maintenance group by 0.23 percent; transportation group by 0.86 percent; recreation, sports, and culture groups by 0.02 percent; group providing food and beverages/restaurants by 3.66 percent; and the personal care and other services group by 0.83 percent. Meanwhile, expenditure groups that experienced deflation were: the health group at 0.01 percent and the information, communication and financial services group at 0.06 percent. The education group did not change.
The March 2022 calendar year deflation rate was 0.28 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (March 2022 to March 2021) was 2.56 percent.
The energy group in March 2022 experienced inflation of 0.69 with a CPI of 103.83. Meanwhile, the food ingredients component in March 2022 experienced inflation of 2.45 percent with a CPI of 112.71.
