Abstract

In September 2022, Pangkalpinang City experienced inflation of 1.04 percent with a CPI of 112.68. Of the 90 CPI cities in Indonesia, 88 cities experienced inflation and 2 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Bukittinggi at 1.87 percent with a CPI of 114.45 and the lowest was in Merauke at 0.07 percent with a CPI of 109.49.
  • Inflation was caused by rising indexes in 8 expenditure groups, namely: food, beverages and tobacco by 0.20 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuel groups by 0.16 percent; equipment, equipment and routine maintenance group by 0.08 percent; health group by 0.12 percent; transportation group by 6.15 percent; the information, communication, and financial services group by 0.01 percent for the food and beverage/restaurant supply group by 0.05 percent; and the personal care and other services group by 0.64 percent. Meanwhile, the clothing and footwear group; recreation, sports and cultural groups; and the education group did not experience a change in the index.
  • The September 2022 calendar year inflation rate is 5.15 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (September 2022 to September 2021) is 7.33 percent.
  • The energy group in September 2022 experienced inflation of 10.78 percent with a CPI of 119.33. The food ingredients component experienced inflation of 0.20 percent with a CPI of 118.08.
