Abstract

In November 2022, Tanjungpandan City experienced year on year (y-on-y) inflation of 3.87 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 113.91. The highest y-on-y inflation occurred in Tanjung Selor at 9.20 percent with a CPI of 113.02 and the lowest occurred in Ternate at 3.26 percent with a CPI of 110.96. Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in most of the expenditure group indices, namely the clothing and footwear group by 0.80 percent; the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 4.28 percent; equipment, equipment and household routine maintenance group by 1.15 percent; the health group by 0.54 percent; transportation group of 17.93 percent; the recreation, sports and culture group by 4.89 percent; the education group by 4.15 percent; the group providing food and beverages/restaurants by 11.04 percent; as well as the personal care and other services group of 4.29 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure group that experienced a decrease in index was the food, beverage and tobacco group by 0.40 percent and the information, communication and financial services group by 1.14 percent.
  • The November 2022 month-to-month (m-to-m) deflation rate was 0.64 percent and the November 2022 year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate was 2.70 percent.
  • The y-on-y inflation rate for the energy component in November 2022 was 13.83 percent, m-to-m inflation was 0.01 percent, and y-to-d inflation was 12.37 percent. The y-on-y deflation rate for the foodstuff component in November 2022 was 3.68 percent, m-to-m deflation was 2.38 percent, and y-to-d deflation was 6.60 percent.
