September 2023 Tanjungpandan City Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation is 5.03 percent and Month to Month (m-o-m) inflation is 1.41 percent

Abstract

In September 2023, there will be Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation of 5.03 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 121.63. The highest y-on-y inflation occurred in Manokwari at 5.26 percent with a CPI of 119.96 and the lowest in Manado and Gorontalo at 1.16 percent with a CPI of 113.96 and 113.23 respectively.
Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in most expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 7.81 percent; clothing and footwear group at 2.33 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.82 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group at 1.24 percent; health group by 2.17 percent; transportation group by 10.15 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 1.72 percent; education group of 5.65 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 1.78 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 4.61 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure group that experienced a decline in the index was the information, communication and financial services group by 0.50 percent.
The Month to Month (m-to-m) inflation rate was 1.41 percent and the Year to Date (y-to-d) inflation rate was 5.27 percent.
The y-on-y inflation rate for the Energy component was 0.70 percent and the y-on-y inflation rate for the Foodstuffs component was 8.10 percent.
