Tanjungpandan City inflation year on year (y-on-y) of 4.17 percent

Abstract

In December 2022, Tanjungpandan City experienced year on year (y-on-y) inflation of 4.17 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 115.54. The highest y-on-y inflation occurred in Kota Baru at 8.65 percent with a CPI of 119.83 and the lowest occurred in Sorong at 3.26 percent with a CPI of 110.95.

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in most of the expenditure group indices, namely the clothing and footwear group by 1.00 percent; the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 3.42 percent; equipment, equipment and household routine maintenance group by 1.20 percent; transportation group of 23.92 percent; the recreation, sports and culture group by 4.89 percent; the education group by 4.15 percent; the group providing food and drink/restaurants by 11.11 percent; as well as the personal care and other services group of 3.91 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure group that experienced a decrease in index was the food, beverage and tobacco group by 0.87 percent; the health group by 0.22 percent; as well as the information, communication and financial services group of 1.12 percent.

The December 2022 month-to-month (m-to-m) deflation rate was 1.43 percent and the December 2022 year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate was 4.17 percent.

The y-on-y inflation rate for the energy component in December 2022 was 12.39 percent, m-to-m inflation was 0.02 percent, and y-to-d inflation was 12.39 percent. The y-on-y deflation rate for the food component in December 2022 was 4.16 percent, m-to-m inflation was 2.61 percent, and y-to-d deflation was 4.16 percent.
