Abstract

The total labor force in February 2024 was 818,626 people, an increase of 13,276 people compared to February 2023. The Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) increased by 0.33 percentage points.
The working population was 787,140 people, an increase of 13,129 people from February 2023. The employment sector that experienced the largest percentage increase was the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Sector (3.37 percentage points). Meanwhile, the employment sector that experienced the largest decrease was the Mining and Quarrying Sector (4.74 percent points).
A total of 408,991 people (51.96 percent) worked in informal activities, an increase of 2.14 percentage points compared to February 2023.
The percentage of underemployed and part-time workers increased by 3.93 percentage points and 0.19 percentage points respectively compared to February 2023.
The Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) in February 2024 was 3.85 percent, a decrease of 0.04 percentage points compared to February 2023.
