Abstraction

• The number of guests staying at star-rated hotels in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in January 2019 was 26,446 people. This number fell by 21.87 percent compared to the number of guests in the previous month which was 33,849 people. The decrease in the number of guests occurred for domestic guests and foreign guests at 21.69 percent and 31.58 percent respectively.

• The Hotel Occupancy Rate (TPK) star rating in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in January 2019 reached an average of 27.43 percent, down 10.34 points compared to the December 2018 TPK which was recorded at 37.76 percent.

• The highest ROR for star-rated hotels by regency / city in January 2019 was in Central Bangka Regency (44.27 percent), followed by Pangkalpinang City (33.58 percent), Belitung Regency (21.60 percent), and Bangka Regency at 13.70 percent .

• In January 2019, the average total length of stay of guests in the star classification hotel was 2.09 days, an increase of 0.21 days compared to the previous month. During January 2019, the average length of stay of foreign guests (2.81 days) was 0.74 days longer than Indonesian guests (2.07 days).
