Consumers Are Optimistic with the Economic Conditions of the Bangka Belitung Islands II Quarter 2019

Abstract

Bangka Belitung Islands Consumer Tendency Index (ITK) in Quarter II-2019 was 133.91. This means, consumers are optimistic about economic conditions in the second quarter of 2019 compared to the first quarter of 2019.
Consumer optimism in Quarter II-2019 is influenced by the three ITK forming variables, namely the Consumption Volume Index (129.08), the Current Income Index (142.17), and the Inflation Influence Index on the level of consumption (122.19).
Bangka Belitung Islands ITK value in Quarter III-2019 is estimated at 95.68. Consumers tend to be pessimistic about the economic conditions in the coming quarter.
The Future Income Index is estimated at 99.51. Consumers are pessimistic if their income in quarter III-2019 will be better than quarter II-2019. In addition, consumers do not have plans to buy durable goods, recreation or holding a party / celebration. The Index Value for the Purchase of Durable, Recreation and Party / Celebration Items is under 100, that is 88.98.
