January 2022 Tanjungpandan City inflation was 0.54 percent

Abstract

In January 2022, Tanjungpandan City experienced an inflation of 0.54 percent with a CPI of 111.52. Of the 90 CPI cities, 85 cities experienced inflation and 5 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Sibolga at 1.53 percent with a CPI of 109.81 and the lowest occurred in Manokwari at 0.02 percent with a CPI of 111.34. Meanwhile, the highest deflation occurred in Kotamobagu at 0.66 percent with a CPI of 108.79 and the lowest occurred in Jayapura at 0.04 percent with a CPI of 105.83.
Inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the index of the expenditure group, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 0.74 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.31 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel groups by 0.64 percent; household equipment, equipment and routine maintenance group by 0.06 percent; recreation, sports, and culture groups by 1.36 percent; group providing food and beverages/restaurants by 1.51 percent; and the personal care and other services group by 0.68 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that experienced deflation were: the health group by 0.24 percent; transportation group by 0.24 percent; information, communication, and financial services group by 0.40 percent. The education group did not change.
The inflation rate for the calendar year January 2022 is 0.54 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (January 2022 to January 2021) is 3.51 percent.
The energy group in January 2022 experienced inflation of 0.77 with a CPI of 103.34. Meanwhile, the food ingredients component in January 2022 experienced inflation of 0.86 percent with a CPI of 119.41.
