Abstract

In June 2022 the Combined 2 Cities in Bangka Belitung experienced deflation of 0.15 percent with a CPI of 113.25. The inflation rate for the calendar year June 2022 is 4.38 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (June 2022 to June 2021) is 6.52 percent.
  • The two CPI monitoring cities in the Bangka Belitung Islands province also experienced deflation, namely Pangkalpinang by 0.22 percent with a CPI of 111.75 and Tanjungpandan City by 0.03 percent with a CPI of 115.97.
  • This month's deflation was due to a decrease in prices as indicated by a decrease in the index even though it was only in 2 expenditure groups, namely the food, beverage and tobacco group by 0.93 percent and the clothing and footwear group by 0.02 percent. The groups that experienced an increase in the index were: housing, water, electricity, and household fuel by 0.23 percent; household equipment, equipment and routine maintenance group by 0.14 percent; health group by 0.09 percent; transportation group by 0.55 percent; information, communication, and financial services group by 0.13 percent; food and beverage/restaurant supply group by 0.19 percent; and the personal care and other services group by 0.78 percent. Meanwhile, the recreation, sports, and cultural groups as well as the education group did not experience a change in the index.
  • The combined deflationary share of 2 Cities in Bangka Belitung in June 2022 was mainly contributed by krisi fish, selar fish and round fish commodities. Meanwhile, the driver of inflation was caused by the increase in commodity prices of red chili, cayenne pepper and shallot.
