Abstract

The economy of the Bangka Belitung Islands in the third quarter of 2022 as measured by Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices (ADHB) reached Rp.23,740 billion and GRDP at constant prices (ADHK) in 2010 reached Rp.14,610 billion.
  • The economy of the Bangka Belitung Islands in the third quarter of 2022 compared to the third quarter of 2021 (y-on-y) grew by 4.51 percent. From the production side, most of the business fields still grew positively, but there were some business fields that experienced contraction. The business field that experienced the highest growth was the Transportation and Warehousing business field. Meanwhile, from the expenditure side, the highest growth occurred in the PMTB component.
  • The economy of the Bangka Belitung Islands in the third quarter of 2022 compared to the previous quarter (q-to-q) grew by 1.11 percent. From the production side, the highest growth occurred in the Education Services business field, while from the expenditure side the highest growth occurred in the PMTB component.
  • The economy of the Bangka Belitung Islands up to quarter III-2022 (c-to-c) grew by 4.36 percent, slower than the achievement in quarter III-2021 which cumulatively grew by 4.61 percent. From the production side, almost all business fields grew positively except for the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries and Construction business fields. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, the highest growth was experienced by the component of Foreign Exports.
  • The total ADHB GRDP of Sumatra Island in the third quarter of 2022 reached Rp. 1,073 trillion or around 22.00 percent of the total GRDP of 34 provinces in Indonesia, while the ADHK GRDP of Sumatra Island in the third quarter of 2022 reached Rp. 633 trillion. The economic growth of Sumatra Island was 2.27 percent (q-to-q), 4.71 percent (y-on-y), and 4.58 percent (c-to-c). Meanwhile, the GRDP of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province only contributed 2.21 percent to the GRDP of Sumatra Island and 0.49 percent to the total GRDP of 34 provinces in Indonesia.
