Abstract

In September 2024 there is year on year (y-on-y) inflation in East Belitung Regency of 0.61 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 103.46.

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the index in several expenditure groups, namely: education group by 15.23 percent; personal care and other services group at 4.18 percent; clothing and footwear group at .82 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 3.26 percent; equipment, tools and routine maintenance group of 1.25 percent; health group at 0.73 percent; transportation group at 0.51 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 0.26 percent. On the other hand, the groups that experienced y-on-y deflation or a decline in the index were the housing, water, electricity and household fuel groups by 1.72 percent; food, drink and tobacco group at 1.35 percent; and the information, communication and financial services group at 0.04 percent.
The deflation rate or decline in CPI month to month (m-to-m) and the inflation rate increase in CPI year to date (y-to-d) for East Belitung Regency in September 2024 are 0.12 percent and 0.47 percent respectively.
