Abstract

A. TOURISM DEVELOPMENT

The number of guests staying at star hotels in the Province of Bangka Belitung Islands in August 2020 was recorded at 16,402 people. This number increased by 57.56 percent compared to the number of guests in the previous month which was 10,410 people. The number of domestic guests increased by 56.52 percent, and the number of foreign guests increased more than twenty times.
The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of star-classified hotels in Bangka Belitung Islands Province in August 2020 reached an average of 23.23 percent, up 6.20 points compared to the ROR for July 2020 which was recorded at 17.03 percent.
The ROR for star-rated hotels by regencies / cities in August 2020 was in Pangkalpinang City with 44.14 percent, followed by Central Bangka Regency (22.62 percent), Belitung Island (20.58 percent), and Bangka Regency (10.51 percent) ).
In August 2020, the overall average length of stay of guests in star-classified hotels was 1.68 days, a decrease of 0.5 days compared to the previous month.

B. TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT

The number of inter-island sea transport passengers departing from the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in August 2020 was recorded at 6.76 thousand people, an increase of 75.77 percent compared to July 2020. When compared to the same period in the previous year (January-August 2019), departing passengers decreased by 67.76 percent.
The number of inter-island sea transport passengers arriving in the Province of Bangka Belitung Islands in August 2020 was recorded at 6.72 thousand people. This number increased by 212.17 percent over the previous month. When compared to the same period last year (January-August 2019), the flow of incoming passengers decreased by 71.07 percent.
The volume of goods loaded at the port in August 2020 was 542.77 thousand tons, an increase of 18.88 percent when compared to July 2020 which reached 456.58 thousand tons.
The volume of goods unloaded during August 2020 was 241.87 thousand tons, an increase of 18.93 percent compared to the previous month which reached 203.37 thousand tons.
The number of air transport passengers departing from the Bangka Belitung Islands in August 2020 was recorded at 30.96 thousand people, an increase of 28.22 percent compared to the previous month.
The number of passengers who came to the Bangka Belitung Islands using air transportation in August 2020 was 30.36 thousand people, an increase of 46.21 percent compared to the previous month.
