Abstract

In October 2024 there will be year on year (y-on-y) inflation in East Belitung Regency of 0.29 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 103.33.

Year on year (y-on-y) inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the index in several expenditure groups, namely: education group by 15.23 percent; personal care and other services group at 4.01 percent; clothing and footwear group at 3.82 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 3.26 percent; equipment, tools and routine maintenance group at 1.62 percent; health group at 0.78 percent; transportation group at 0.33 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 0.26 percent; and the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.13 percent. On the other hand, the groups that experienced y-on-y deflation or a decline in the index were the food, beverage and tobacco groups by 2.56 percent; and the information, communication and financial services group at 0.04 percent.
The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate and year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate for East Belitung Regency in October 2024 are 0.13 percent and 0.34 percent respectively.
