Abstract

In August 2024, year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Belitung Timur Regency was 1.27 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 103.58.

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to price increases indicated by an increase in the index in several expenditure groups, namely: the food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 5.43 percent; the clothing and footwear group by 3.91 percent; the personal care and other services group by 3.86 percent; the food, beverage, and tobacco group by 0.89 percent; the health group by 0.73 percent; the transportation group by 0.62 percent; the household equipment, tools and routine maintenance group by 0.34 percent; the recreation, sports, and culture group by 0.26 percent; and the education group by 0.05 percent. Conversely, the groups experiencing y-on-y deflation or a decrease in the index were the housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 2.20 percent; and the information, communication, and financial services group by 0.12 percent.
rate and the year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate for Belitung Timur Regency in August 2024 were 0.70 percent and 0.58 percent.
