Abstract

In January 2024 there will be year on year (y-on-y) deflation in East Belitung Regency of 0.41 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 103.29.

Y-on-y deflation occurs due to the indicated decline in prices by the decline in the index in several expenditure groups, namely: group food, beverages and tobacco at 3.51 percent; housing group, water, electricity and household fuel at 4.91 percent; group information, communication and financial services by 0.05 percent. On the contrary, groups that experience y-on-y inflation or an increase in the index, namely clothing and footwear group at 5.93 percent; equipment group, household equipment and routine maintenance by 1.69 percent; group health by 2.11 percent; transportation group at 0.94 percent; sports and cultural recreation group at 2.59 percent; group provision of food and drinks/restaurants by 6.79 percent; and groups personal care and other services amounted to 2.64 percent.

Month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate and year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate East Belitung Regency in January 2024 each at 0.30 percent.
